APC Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the Supreme Court judgment, delivered yesterday Friday, January 12, 2024.
The Supreme Court panel hearing the election petition filed by the APC to challenge the victory of Governor Dauda Lawal of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) thrashed the Petition to uphold the victory recorded by the Governor at the poll.
Reacting to the judgment, the Zamfara State chapter of the APC insisted that the party did not lose the case but the court [only] cheated the party in its ruling.
A statement [personally] released by the Zamfara State Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Yusuf Idris, claimed that the party will not relent in its efforts to reclaim the state in 2027.
He, therefore, encouraged supporters of the party to remain calm, accept the judgment as an act of God, and prepare themselves for another opportunity that will be presented to them to sack Governor Dauda Lawal in the 2027 general elections.
He said, “I do not believe that the party has lost, but I believe that the courts have cheated us.
“But 2027 is another year, and we are very confident that we will regain our mandate from the ruling PDP government.”
