Governor Rotimi Akeredolu Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has stepped aside as the Executive Governor of the state, his deputy Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will now act in full capacity as the Executive Governor of the State.
The development in Ondo State was contained in a letter transmitted to the State House of Assembly and addressed to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun. In the letter, Governor Akeredolu informed the lawmakers that he will proceed on a 15-day working vacation as the first installment of his 2023 Annual Leave and the leave has commenced, today Monday 3rd to Tuesday, 25th of April 2023.
Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will stop to act as the Executive Governor of Ondo State on Wednesday, 26th April 2023 when Governor Akeredolu is expected to have resumed from his vacation.
Aiyedatiwa will now perform the functions of the office of the Governor from today till Tuesday, 25th April 2023.
