Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ratified the suspension of the State Welfare Secretary of the Party, Hon. Benjamin Omakolo.
Hon. Omakolo's suspension was endorsed by the state chapter of APC after the Apa Local Government chapter of the party recommended to the state chapter to endorse his suspension which was initiated by the Igoro ward Executives of the party. This is coming, a few days after the State Chairman of the party in the state, Hon. Austin Agada, was suspended by a faction of the party loyal to the Governor of the State, Hyacinth Alia.
A press statement released by Daniel Ihomun, State Publicity Secretary of APC in Benue State, endorsed the suspension of Hon. Omakolo after it has been ratified at both ward and local government levels.
The statement which was titled "Benue APC Endorses Suspension of Hon. Benjamin Omakolo by Igoro Ward" read:
"The State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Benue state Chapter has ratified the suspension of Hon. Benjamin Omakolo, State Welfare Secretary of the party by his ward executives of APC Igoro ward Apa Local Government over misappropriation of funds, gross insubordination, none payment of party dues and anti-party activities.
"The party wishes to deeply appreciate all organs of the party for their unflinching support, devotion, and dedication to the course of the party.
A "Letter of Recommendation for Suspension of Hon. Benjamin Omakolo" which emanated from the Apa Local Government Area was jointly signed by the Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Obiabo Samuel, and Secretary of the Party in Apa Local Government Area, Hon. Adah Solomon.
