Reno Omokri has earlier claimed that he was aware of the call for 'fire' by the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour. He alleged that had issued threats about Lagos "catching fire" tonight, pending the announcement of the winner of the governorship contest in the state.
Omokri called on the police to caution Gbadebo over the threat. He said "Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour's threat about Lagos "catching fire" tonight should not be ignored by law enforcement agents. He should be called to order. As usual, those who called for MC Oluoma's head are silent over GRV's irresponsible incitement!"
Omokri,, therefore urges Lagos residents to rise and stop anyone from perpetrating anything that may alter the growth and development of the state. He lamented that it would be unwise for Lagosians to allow Gbadebo to, unnecessarily, bring disruption to their state.
He said "Lagosians would be unwise to allow another #EndSARS level protest because Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour is screaming blue murder over the #NigerianElections2023.
Omokri decried the habit of Gbadebo which he related to that of his political master, Peter Obi, where they okay election results where they won and condemn results at places they lose.
He related that "Like his master Peter Obi, who accepted states where he polled 97% of the votes and rejected results elsewhere!
