The Concerned Arewa Citizens Forum (ACCF) has lauded the military onslaught against known terrorist leaders , dislodging them from their strongholds and eliminating key leaders and fighters.

The group called on Northern stakeholders and rural dwellers to support the troops with necessary information to end the menace and return the region to the path of peace and progress.

The statement signed by a team of ACCF executives, Dr.Victor Bobai, Mallam Usman Abubakar, and Ibrahim Kolo commended the CDS for rewarding troops with cash prize of N1 million for the successful elimination of notorious bandit leader Halilu Sububu in Zamfara.

“This initiative not only serves to recognise the extraordinary bravery of our troops but also emphasizes a collective effort needed from all stakeholders to bolster the morale of our military forces,” they said.

They added “this moment calls for support rather than politics that undermines the military’s earnest efforts.

“Without security, nothing can move; not even our engagement with the media today, invoking the undeniable truth that a secure environment is foundational for any nation’s progress.

”The group stated further that the elimination of Halilu Sububu Buzu serves as a remarkable testimony to the success of military intervention guided under General Musa’s leadership.

They added that the initiative to reward the troops serves a dual purpose of “honoring dedication and encouraging continued excellence in their duties”.

“The successful operation not only terminated a notorious bandit leader responsible for numerous violent attacks but also demonstrated the military’s improved operational synergy at both state and national levels.

“Such strategic plans, driven by intelligence on enemy movement, have yielded positive results in curbing banditry and kidnapping rates,” they stated.

They called on former leaders and major stakeholders in Nigeria to recognise General Christopher Musa’s tireless efforts against the adversities threatening the nation.

“We are aware of dissenting voices calling for his head, primarily from those whose interests align with disunity and chaos.

They seek to capitalize on the nation’s struggles for selfish purposes,” they noted. The group stressed that the nation’s security landscape is marred by internal and external conflicts hence, the military’s accomplishments deserve recognition and support.
