The major stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) have emptied themselves into the fold of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullah Umaru Ganduje was live on the ground at the City Hall in Lafia, Nasarawa State today to receive members of the APGA, SDP, and ZLP who followed their leaders to join the ruling party in the state, APC.
Leading the defecting members from the opposition parties is the former Governorship candidate of APGA in Nasarawa State, Chief Mathew Avre Ombugaku.
Chief Ombugaku was also joined by other politicians in defecting to APC.
Among the other defectors who were jointly received by Ganduje are Dr Alfa Yusufu Tsenya, a former senatorial candidate of APGA in Nasarawa North; Aliyu Safiyanu, popularly known as Mai Zuma, who was a former SDP House of Representatives candidate; Zubairu Abdullahi Musa and Musa Salihu Iyimoga, who represented Doma North Constituency in the 6th Assembly on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP.
Other APC stalwarts who joined Gamduje at the reception are Governor Abdullahi Sule, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, Senator George Akume, Senator Solomon Akku Ewuga, House of Representatives member Jeremiah Umaru, and other prominent political figures in the state.
