Hon Afinni Suleiman Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Hon. Lanre Sulaimon Afinni, has emerged as the Winner of the Lagos Island 2 State House of Assembly Constituency in the state.
Hon. Lanre Sulaiman Afinni contested the Lagos Island 2 State House of Assembly Seat with seven other candidates.
At the end of the voting and collation exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oluwole Adewale Ganiu of the Action Alliance (AA) scored five (5) votes; Adetayo Motunrayo of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) scored forty-four (44) votes.
Adeniji Adeyinka Hilary of the Boot Party (BP) scored Seventeen (17) votes; Apata Temitayo of the Labour Party (LP) scored Eight Hundred and Fifty-Eight (858) votes to come very distance third; Jones Maxwell Akinyemi of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) scored five (5) votes.
Davis Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored Nine Hundred and Fifty-Six (956) to come a distant second as Oriola Kareem of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) scored two (2) votes.
Afinni Olanrewaju Suleiman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty-Six (18,726) votes to emerge the winner of the contest.
