Bassey Otu Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers State has declared two weeks work free days for the civil servants in the state.
The Governor made this known in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Ogbeche, who relayed the goodwill message of the Governor to the Civil servants.
He encouraged the civil servants in the state to spend time with their family members and encouraged them to actively take part in the annual Calabar Festival.
Governor Bassey Otu, in the press statement, however, stated that essential workers are exempted from the 14-day Christmas holiday.
The holiday starts today, Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 and the workers are expected back to their various places of work on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
