A few hours after the Rivers State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Professor Zacchaeus Adangor, tendered his resignation to the Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, another commissioner, Chief Emeka Woke, submitted his resignation letter to the state governor.
Until his resignation, Chief Emeka Woke was the Rivers State Commissioner for Special Projects.
Although, Professor Zacchaeus Adangor cited "personal reason" for his resignation, Chief Emeka Woke's resignation from the cabinet of Governor Fubara could not be unconnected from the political crisis between Governor Fubara and Nyesom Wike.
Apart from the 26 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who on Monday, defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), two commissioners have tendered their resignation letter from the cabinet of Governor Fubara as the pro-Wike House of Assembly passed the state Local Government Autonomy Bill into Law".
