Anambra LG Begins Joint Security Patrol Against Incessant Sit-At-Home Orders

Awka South Council Area Strike Force Team has begun a joint security patrol to encourage residents of the council area to go about their normal businesses and end the incessant Sit-At-Home Orders by non-state actors.

The joint security patrol which kicked off from Awka South council headquarters, Amawbia made a stop over at Awka Central Police Station before going to Arroma, Agu-Awka, Obizi Isiagu, made inspections at Eke Nibo before terminating at Nise.

Speaking to ABS, the Transition Committee Chairman for Awka South, Mr. ThankGod Anagor said that the council has ordered strategic units of the team to deploy personnel and operational resources to actualise the governor’s directive and ensure safety of Ndi Anambra especially traders.

He said they would ensure maximum public security and safety of residents and property in the local government area on all days, including Mondays, asking the state residents to report any suspicious movement to the council area or community AVG.

Contributing, the Head of the Strike Force Team, Mr. Jerome Ekwo assured the readiness of the men of the team in ensuring that the mandate of the state government is delivered.

At each of the flash points patrolled, residents expressed happiness and confidence towards achieving a secured environment for business.
