Hamza Al-Mustapha A Nigerian has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to kindly appoint, Hamza Al-Mustapha, the former Chief Security Officer to former Head of State, General Sanni Abacha as the National Security Adviser (NSA) if he is truly willing to solve the insecurity menace facing the country.
The concerned citizen stated this while reacting to a statement attributed to the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelali, who accused some elements in the North of deliberately causing conspiracy regarding the security of the country.
Chief Ngelali was accused of saying “Across the North, we understand that some of the sub-regional geopolitical forces that are currently at play are actively conspiring against the stability of Nigeria.” Ajuri Ngelale made the statement while commenting on the recent abductions taking place in the northern part of Nigeria.
There has been an increase in the rate of kidnapping, recently after President Tinubu was inaugurated, a development that was different from the action taken by the president who immediately ordered service chiefs to arrest the insecurity challenges facing the country
Until Tinubu's directive brought the insecurity menace under some levels of control, banditry, herders-farmers crises, kidnapping, terrorism, and all forms of criminalities took over the whole 36 states of the federation.
Reacting to the statement allegedly made by Chief Ngelali, a Nigerian, John Diekop, urged President Tinubu to appoint Al-Mustapha as his NSA claiming that he understands the causes and solutions to the insecurity facing Nigeria.
He said, "If the government wants to put a stop to these barbaric acts, it won't take them a complete day; revisit all the white papers report on insecurity on the north, invite MAJOR HAMZA ALMUSTAPHA (rtd)to the presidential villa; how I wished he was appointed the National Security Adviser because he knows a lot about the causes and remedies of insecurity in Nigeria.
