Against Claim by Eedris Abdulkareem, Seyi Law Insists His Support for Tinubu is for Nigerians
Seyi Law
Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law has disputed a recent claim by the controversial Nigerian musician, Eedris Abdulkareem.

Even though Seyi Law did not specifically call out Abdulkareem in his latest statement, he directly spoke to address issues raised by Abdulkareem in his earlier claim.

Abdulkareem had claimed in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast that Seyi Law regretted giving his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the electioneering campaign. However, a recent statement issued by Seyi Law debunked Abdulkareem's claim as he insisted his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu was because he believed he was the one who could bring the needed hope to Nigerians.

The Round Table recalls that, while speaking in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Abdulkareem said, “I was at an event yesterday and Seyi Law came up and said, ‘Abeg, make una no vex o! Everybody don curse me taya because I stand for Tinubu. I no dey im mandate again o!

"I was like, ‘Seyi, how do you cope now?’ He said, ‘My brother, I messed up.’ He said no be say im collect anything. He said he made the biggest mistake.”

However, in his latest statement on X which could have been triggered by Abdulkareem's claim, Seyi Law said:

“My fellow Nigerians, I laugh not at your pains and I know there’s a lot of hardship right now. The fact that I supported a different candidate from you isn’t to spite you, but out of my belief that my candidate will achieve a better Nigeria. I am here with you in Nigeria, and I am not alien to your anger, which is justified. I swear I truly feel your pain, but I am optimistic. I can’t abandon a government that I voted for. I can only join them to bring relief to Nigerians.

“I am currently in Abuja, and I am talking with some people in the government. My efforts might not mean much to you now, but I am praying it brings hope to your hearts again. The cost of governance will be reduced, the minimum wage will increase, and food affordability will improve.

“I supported Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not against you, but for you. I am not begging you to stop the abuse. I made my choice, and I stand by it. We shall overcome as a people and come out a Greater Nation.”
