The former governorship aspirant of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Barrister Dotun Babayemi has belittled the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State claiming that he was not prepared for the job.

Barr. Babayemi who was a guest at a popular Radio Station in the state, Rave 91.7 FM, stated that the performance of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the last nine months of his administration has shown that he lacks knowledge of administering the state.

Filling questions from the anchor of the one-hour mourning interview programme, Barr Babayemi stated that nine months of Ademola Adeleke's administration in Osun State has only proven his nepotistic character.

Barr Babayemi alleged that over 60 percent of the people who were appointed into strategic positions under the administration of Ademola Adeleke are people from his hometown in Ede.

He also disregards the claim by some people that during the governorship election, his faction of the PDP demanded 2 Senatorial slots and 6 of the 9 House of Representatives slots available in the stated.

Dotun Babayemi revealed that after some leaders of the party from across southwestern states approached him for peace, he joined the campaign train of PDP in Ile-Ife and Osogbo, after which the elder brother of Ademola Adeleke who happened to be his sponsor in the contest, Dr. Deji Adeleke, called him on phone and they both spoke for two hours.

Dr. Deji Adeleke asked him for his primary objective in the contest, and he responded that he aims towards a "PDP administration that will be all-inclusive so that all members of the party will feel included".

He said, at the end of the conversation Dr. Deji Adeleke asked him to come up with a proposal to that effect which he did.

Babayemi stated that his group had only requested one of the three Senatorial slots in the state, three of the nine House of Representatives slots, and nine of the 26 State House of Assembly slots.

However, he said after he submitted the proposal he did not hear anything from Adeleke again except various rumors which include their request for 2 of the 3 senatorial slots in the state; that he has collected billions of naira from All Progressives Congress (APC) and he was then working for APC among others.

Dr. Babayemi also claimed that his case against Ademola Adeleke which went up to the Supreme Court was never heard because "Nigeria happened to him".

He unveiled what happened to his case at the Supreme Court as a "Nigeria factor" claiming that his led client withdrew his Supreme Court Case without informing him which cost his case a technical defeat at the Court. He alleged that his led client seemed to have been influenced and compromised by his opponent.

On his membership in PDP, Barr. Babayemi said his suspension by the Adeleke-led faction of the Osun State chapter of the PDP has been declared void and illogical by the National body of the party, however, he insisted that the suspension had failed to follow due process and hence, he remains a bonafide member of PDP.

Talking about the possibility of his comeback to vie for the governorship seat of the state, Barr Babayemi noted that "there is time for politics and time for governance". He, therefore, enjoins Ademola Adeleke to enjoy his term as he is sure the justice that Adeleke escaped at the Supreme Court has built more confidence in him.
