The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke has unrepentantly made up his mind to fight his benefactor and initiator of his elevation to the position he occupied today even in death.

The decision to put up this article today is to react, criticize, expose and condemn the kind of hostile, archaic and terribly bad politics being played by the Adeleke family, their group of Osun PDP also the generality of the supporters of the 60 year old political greenhorn governor .

Later today, according to official program of event, the Late Honorable Olasoji Clement Adagunodo who was a former Osun PDP State Chairman later the South West National Vice Chairman of the party will begin his final journey to glory from the WOCDIF Event Center,Osogbo, Osun State.

Adagunodo when he died, his family was said to have been reluctant and skeptical about involving the Adeleke family in the burial of their son and a notable Ijesa son for certain reasons. Among others, it was confirmed by the family that the Adelekes in reaction to the news of Adagunodo death jubilated and danced in their home, thanking God for eliminating their arch enemy.

The fact that up till this very moment, no single one member of the Adeleke supporters has openly identified or attempted to commiserate with the widow and children of the late Olasoji Adagunodo over the death of their person goes a long way to confirm the above story. Rumour has it that they are under strict instructions not to do so. They run a risk of offending their political leaders and benefactors if they dare contemplate such.

The commissioner and Special Adviser nominees, Boards and parastatals hopefuls especially maintains a clear distance from anything Adagunodo sake they can keep their hopes of appointment alive. Some of them didn't greet the Adagunodo family till today that his final journey into the mother earth is beginning.

Unfortunately, the records of Hon. Clement Olasoji Adagunodo Oluwatukesi was written in indelible ink. When Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke gave up the ghost on April 23rd, 2017, Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo stood stoutly to give Adetunji Adeleke a befitting burial despite not being in the same party at that time with late Ede born politician.

After the burial of Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the APC stoutly refused the family of the late Adeleke the proposed honour of allowing his youngest sibling; Ademola to replace him at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly. Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo played his expected role at ensuring that Ademola Adeleke got the ticket of PDP in 2017.

Adagunodo, against all odds, campaigned vigorously and made sure that Ademola Adeleke emerged as an elected Senator of the Federal Republic, beating an incumbent government blue black. Aregbesola was shocked to the marrow. There was jubilation and fanfare all over Osun State. Adagunodo restored the dignity of the dwindling Adeleke dynasty and that of the Peoples Democratic Party back to the mainstream of the Nigerian politics. It is upon this that whatever the Adelekes later become today was built.

The same Adagunodo's efforts in 2017 remains the foundation upon which Ademola Adeleke built his 2018 and 2022 governorship ambition upon. Adagunodo will forever remain the unbeatable champion of real democracy in Osun State.

Lest we forget, in a lengthy letter written by Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo where he defended himself against the frivolous allegations of malfeasance, maladministration and anti-party activities, he clearly stated that he used his personal money to kick-start the campaigns of Ademola Adeleke in 2017 to the tune of N4m in logistics and fueling and honorarium to people involved in the movement, though, he said Dr. Deji Adeleke later refunded the money to him .

It is in the anal of history that Adagunodo used a lot of his personal funds and other resources to run the PDP in the build-up to the Osun Governorship elections in 2018. This included the charter of a private plane that conveyed all the NWC of the party under the leadership of Prince Uche Secondus to and fro Osun State. Adagunodo paid N18m from his personal account to charter that aircraft. The repayment of that N18m was a major allegation of fraud against Adagunodo.

The only known sin of Adagunodo against the Adelekes was his refusal to impose Ademola Adeleke as the sole candidate of PDP for Governorship in 2018.

The Osun West Senatorial bye-election was undoubtedly a huge success because of the efforts Adagunodo injected into it. One would have expected this good gesture to be reciprocated by the Adeleke family but reverse is the case now that the man has gone to rest in Paradise.

One would be tempted to ask why the enmity between Adeleke and Adagunodo remain so deep and unabated. Another reason attributed to it was his refusal to be bought over when he was again, allegedly, invited by some leaders of PDP in Osun and the Zonal office under Dr. Eddy Olafeso to take N500m from Dr. Deji Adeleke with two exotic Landcruiser jeeps and a Hilux utility vehicle plus four police escorts. The offer was to induce him into pronouncing Ademola Adeleke as the sole candidate of the party for 2018 governorship contest but which he again rejected. He advised them to go and work among the delegates so that they can win the primary for their preferred candidate because it would be unethical for him to impose any candidate on the party.

According to the content of Adagunodo's letter to Dr. Deji Adeleke, he viewed his rejection of the money and the proposal to work among delegates as forcing them to incure unnecessary expenses and they have since perceived him as their enemy.

Immediately they discovered that Adagunodo would not dance to their tune, they ganged up against him. They started writing frivolous petitions. They began with the nomination of his kinsman and publicity Secretary of Osun PDP under his leadership as his(Adegunodo) as his replacement.
Against the dictate of the party constitution they preferred and worked to install Hon. Sunday Bisi from Ilesa East local government as their factional party Chairman and Bisi too consented.

SADNESS OF REJECTION AND PLANS TO CARRY THE DAY

Since May 8, 2023 that Olasoji Clement Olasoji Oluwatukesi was declared dead, Governor Ademola Adeleke has been to Lagos and Ibadan more than 8 times and he did not deem it fit to make a brief stop at Olasoji Adagunodo's residence even to drop his condolence message not even talk of comisurating with his widow and children.

If rumour flying is anything to go by, Governor Ademola Adeleke has proposed to attend the commendation service in honour of Adagunodo at the WOCDIF Events Centre, along Ring Road, Osogbo on Wednesday 19th July, 2023.

One is tempted to ask, what will Adeleke be doing at Adagunodo burial after having ignoring his family and pretending that they are not aware of the death of the NVC?

Certainly to make further jest of the death of his perceived 'enemy'
May be to dance on his grave the same way he did on the grave of his own late brother, Isiaka Adeleke at Ilesha together with Aregbesola.

If the Adagunodo family and lieutenants allow Ademola Adeleke to attend that program, they must have deliberately and disgracefully denigrated shamefully on the grave of Adagunodo.

Adeleke has demonstrated his disgust for Olasoji Clement Adagunodo. There is no doubt in this.

Soji, whom i used to refer as a political Buffalo soldier must not be made a laughing stock by his renowned enemies who refused to reciprocate on his goodness to them.

Adeleke as at this morning has not dropped a penny to the burial pool of donations for the burial. It will be disappointing if the Adagunodo followers welcome Adeleke and his group of haters at that funeral.
Soji Adagunodo deserved to be buried like a hero he truly was. His mockers appearance at his burial may therefore anger the dead in his grave.
